June 26 Butterfly On The Phlox

I believe this is the Black Swallowtail, Oklahoma's state butterfly.

  1. Great shot! And, the phlox blooms are beautiful! My flowers have suffered from the heat and dryness, but last night we finally got rain ~ 1.25 inches! The corn was blown over but luckily only on itself, not the peas next to it.

  2. These are great shots. I know how hard it is to get them; about the time you are ready they are off to another blossom.

So far, that is the only kind of butterfly except for the cabbage whites and yellows that we are seeing here.

    The phlox are beautiful.
